Det siste året har det kritikerroste bandet I am K gitt oss låtene «Not Friends» og «Maniac». Nå er det klart at disse er en del av deres kommende andrealbum som slippes i mars. De nye låtene tar de også med seg på norgesturné.
«Vi gleder oss sykt mye til å dra ut og spille igjen! Vi skal spille veldig mye fra plata som kommer nå i mars, og det er alltid gøy å vise fram nye ting. Splitter ny plate, splitter nytt liveshow! Bra start på 2020!», forteller gitarist i bandet, Nicholas van Ek.
I am K har blitt spådd en lysende fremtid både av internasjonale og norske medier. Clash Magazine mente de var et av de mest lovende bandene som spilte på Danmarks svar på by:Larm, Spot Festival 2016. Etter slippet av debutalbumet «Humans» i 2018 fulgte en turné i inn og utland, med over 30 spillejobber, inkludert Slottsfjellfestivalen og Reeperbahn i Tyskland.
I am K befinner seg i et musikalsk landskap som kan defineres som hard, kontant rock, melodisk pop og røff elektronika i en skamløs blanding. De er opptatt av å ikke låse seg til en sjanger og jobber hele tiden med å gå utenfor sin egen komfortsone.

Over the past year, the critically acclaimed band I am K has given us the songs “Not Friends” and “Maniac”. Now it is clear that these are part of their upcoming second album which will be released in March. They’ll also take the new songs on a Norwegian tour.
“We’re really looking forward to going out and playing again! We are going to play a lot from the record coming in March, and it is always fun to showcase new things. Brand new disc, brand new live show! A good start to 2020! ”Says guitarist in the band, Nicholas van Ek.
I am K has predicted a bright future both by international and Norwegian media. Clash Magazine thought they were one of the most promising bands to play in Denmark’s response to the city: Larm, Spot Festival 2016. Following the release of their debut album “Humans” in 2018 followed a tour at home and abroad, with over 30 playing jobs, including the Slottsfjell festival and Reeperbahn in Germany.
I am K is in a musical landscape that can be defined as hard, cash rock, melodic pop and rough electronics in a shameless mix. They are concerned about not locking themselves into a genre and are constantly working outside their own comfort zone.
